Have you ever seen a car shaped like a piece of fruit? Because I have...

I went back to my home state of Michigan this past weekend, which means I had a very loooong drive back to Iowa yesterday. I was about three hours into my trip, cruising down I-94 in Michigan, when I was pulled out of my zombie-mode by an interesting sight. Honestly, I thought I was hallucinating. I looked over to my right, and there it was - a giant banana. It wasn't a statue or an inflatable or anything like that, it was a CAR. Yes, there was a giant banana car driving down the road. There was a website listed on the vehicle: bigbananacar.com. You best believe I went and checked that out this morning.

My first question is WHY? Well, the website states:

"It had long been the desire of Steve Braithwaite, a native of England now living in America, to be the most ridiculous man in the world. Having a goofy pompadour haircut for many years was simply not enough and so he had to think big. "What sort of car would the most ridiculous man in the world drive" he asked himself one day "I know, a banana car" he answered."

The Big Banana Car was created from a 1993 Ford F-150 pick up truck (you can see the before and after photos HERE). The Mutant Brothers have also created some other interesting vehicles, like the Topsy Turvy Bus, and they have others in the works, like the Sub Sandwich Car.

Have you ever a weird vehicle out on the road? We would love to see a photo!
