Remember last week when I was FREAKING OUT about all the spiders I kept finding in my car? Yesterday I came across a potential source of the problem.

When I came back from Michigan after Labor Day weekend, my car was suddenly infested with spiders. I came across a couple of them before I made it back to Iowa, but most of them appeared after I got home. It was really bad. I was coming across one to two spiders inside my car every day, which doesn't sound like a big deal to some, but for me it was a NIGHTMARE. I ended up spraying the crap out of my car with spider spray, and a week later the spiders have seemed to vanish (knock on wood).

Well, when I was back in Michigan, I brought quite a few things back to Iowa with me. One of those things was a bag of all my original Harry Potter books. I decided I wanted to read them all again, so my mom brought them up from the basement and loaded them up in a bag for me. Last night I was finishing up the third book "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (one of my favorites!), and when I flipped to the back cover of the book, I froze. Inside the back cover of my book, right along the broken binding, was a web. Not just a tiny spiderweb, but a very thick, heavy one that looked kind of like a funnel with the hole in the middle. Luckily, there was nothing inside the hole, but all of a sudden it clicked. One of the first spiders I found was in my backseat, right by the bag. Could my Harry Potter books have been one of the spider sources? It would make sense! There's no way to know for sure, but I'm just going to assume.

Now, let's hope that none of my other books have the same problem...
