All I have to say is... AMAZING.

I'm going to start out by telling you what most of you already know: I'm still pretty new to country music. I didn't grow up listening to it (aside from like, Shania Twain), and when I started out at KHAK, I could only name you one single Garth Brooks song ("Friends in Low Places"). Things have definitely changed.

After hearing Brain, Bob, and everyone else on Facebook RAVE about Garth for four straight days, I was thrilled to finally get to go to the show. I had very high expectations, and I can honestly say that all of them were exceeded.

Garth Brooks puts on a better concert than any artist I have ever seen in my life. Seriously. First of all, the crowd was just insane. Never in my life have I been to a show where every single person stands the ENTIRE TIME. I didn't see one person sit down for the duration of the concert. That NEVER HAPPENS. Secondly, I firmly believe that Garth Brooks has super powers. In fact, I told him that during our meet and greet, and Trisha confirmed that he does, but she doesn't let him wear the cape. When I asked him how he has the energy to do so many shows, he said that it's all the audience, and he makes them do all the work for him.

Speaking of the meet and greet, it was 100% the coolest thing I've ever done in my life. The four of us there from KHAK were led into this room with leather couches, where we were the only people. Then, in walks Trisha and Garth, with Garth decked out in a hoodie and sweatpants. He sat down on the floor and we just chatted for like 15 minutes (I don't actually know how long it was, because I lost all sense of time). It was like we were just friends hanging out. I've never met more humble, genuine, kind people. It was unreal.

The entire vibe of the concert was just so... happy. You can tell that Garth legitimately loves what he does, and after every song he seemed so amazed by the outpouring of love from the crowd. And the fact that this show was on a Tuesday night and many people had to work the next morning made the crowd even more impressive.

Don't worry, I'm not going to forget about Trisha! MAN, can that woman SING! Her set was one of my favorite parts of the show, and I absolutely loved when she broke out the 'kiss cam.' And I'm pretty sure the person in front of me hated my guts during "How Do I Live," because I was singing it at the top of my lungs...

Overall, I would say that I was totally blown away by the entire concert. I have never seen an artist put on such a high energy show and give the audience every single thing they asked for. He is definitely a crowd-pleaser and an all-around awesome guy. If I could recommend to everyone one artist to see live, Garth would be it.
