This past weekend I drove home to Michigan, which is (supposed to be) about an 8 hour drive. During that 8 hours I obviously pass through a ton of cities and states I am unfamiliar with, so I use my GPS. But last night, my GPS FAILED me, and I literally had NO IDEA what to do!

Being an iPhone user, I have the "Maps" app on my phone, which I use almost every single day, especially since I moved to Iowa. I have absolutely NO sense of direction, which is not so great for someone who moved so far from home. So, last night I was driving back to CR from Detroit, and I was traveling through Illinois on I-80, when they started ushering us off the highway. So of course, I start freaking out a little bit, because I can't get back on at that entrance, and I have no idea how many other entrances are closed. There were no cars on there for as far as the eye could see! Then I started driving in a random direction, hoping my GPS would catch on and take me a different route, but all it did was continuously bring me BACK to the entrance that was closed!

After about 30 minutes of driving randomly and bawling my eyes out, I FINALLY made my way back to I-80.

Moral of the story: I need to learn how to read a map.
