Danielle and I have been campaigning for him and he's FINALLY being enshrined!

Alan Jackson is officially going to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame later this year!

Late last year before Alan performed in Moline, Danielle and me, both big Alan Jackson fans, laid out the case for Alan joining country's elite list. Please note the video is from November & includes information about a contest we were doing at that time.

This morning, came the official announcement that Alan will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame later this year. His addition to the Hall comes in the 'Modern Era' category.

The late Jerry Reed, who passed away in 2008, was also named as a new inductee. Here's one of his songs I never get tired of hearing. Jerry was inducted in the 'Veterans' category.

The final inductee is from the Songwriter category, and what a songwriter he is. Among Don Schlitz's writing credits are "The Gambler" for Kenny Rogers, "When You Say Nothing at All" (Keith Whitley and Alison Krauss), and what many considered to be the best country song of all-time, "Forever and Ever Amen" by Randy Travis.

Three great choices today by the Hall of Fame committee and THANK YOU for finally inducting Alan Jackson. Danielle and I appreciate it.
