Counseling Corner Letter for 1/23

Dear Brain and Steele,

So what's the deal with boys?  I've been dating the same guy for almost a month and he NEVER pays for anything for me.  We've been out to dinner five times, we've gone to movies and he always expects me to pay half.  I thought when a guy started dating a girl, he was supposed to pay for things.  I am 20 and he is 22.  I know we're young, but I know other girls who have been dating guys and they're in high school and get stuff paid for.  My BF has a good paying job and buys himself nice things.  Why can't he do that for me?  What should I do?  I like him, but I don't want to buy my OWN Valentine.
