Dear Brain and Steele,

My husband and I have two boys – one four and the other 10 months old. My four year old loves to run around. It's hard to keep track of him because he's always running off and that usually gets him into trouble. This May we are going to Disney World and I have been concerned about keeping him in our sight at such a huge place.

I have decided, much to the chagrin of my husband (and a few others), that we should use one of those kid harnesses/leashes when we go. I told a few of our friends and family and one of them actually yelled at me and said if we were responsible parents and paid attention to our four year old, we wouldn't need to do that and it was cruel.

He's MY child...shouldn't I be able to put him in a harness and leash if I see fit?

Heather
