If your family is anything like mine, you still have some back to school shopping to do. The next two days could be the perfect time to wrap it up! Iowa's annual sales tax holiday begins today and goes through Saturday. What does that mean? If you're buying shoes and clothing you don't pay any sales tax!

If you're wondering what businesses are participating, it's easy. They all are! If you're open for business, state law requires you to waive all sales tax from midnight August 5th, through midnight August 6th. There are a few other rules that apply including that the tax exemption is only good on items that sell for less than $100.

So grab the kids and enjoy some tax-free shopping! For a detailed list of rules on Iowa's tax-free holiday, click HERE
