A good weather forecast can make all the difference sometimes.  For that reason, we're pretty excited to hear the news from CBS 2 and FOX 28, that lifetime Iowa weatherman, and Iowa's most experienced broadcast meteorologist, Terry Swails, is joining our weather partner as their Chief Meteorologist.

An Iowa City native with 35 years of Iowa weather experience under his belt, Swails most recently came from WQAD-TV in the Quad Cities, having previously worked in Waterloo and Dubuque.  Swails’ passion for weather lead him to write several books, including one on flooding in Eastern Iowa and another on the Parkersburg tornado. He is an avid storm chaser, and recently launched his own web site, www.tswails.com. Since January the site has had two and a half million visitors.

“He is a trusted expert when it comes to forecasting Iowa weather. Terry’s experience, leadership and knowledge of Iowa make him the perfect addition to CBS 2 and FOX 28.” ~Becky Lutgen Garner, CBS2 and Fox28 News Director

Starting Monday, September 22nd, tou can catch his forecasts on CBS2/Fox28 weeknights at 5, 6, 9 and 10 pm beginning Monday, September 22nd.

Congrats to Terry!  We know he was very well liked in the QC, and we're very excited to welcome him back home.
