When a group or artist starts out there are many dreams: A record deal, touring success, and hit records are just a few of them. In the case of A Thousand Horses, a huge amount of success is coming all at once.

A Thousand Horses debut single, "Smoke" is the number one song in country music on both the Billboard and Mediabase charts that came out earlier today. The guys are pumped, as you'd expect:

The group, formed in Nashville five years ago, is on the road with Darius Rucker these days and one week from tomorrow their album "Southernality" is released. They're also nominated for Group Video of the Year for next week's CMT Music Awards for "Smoke" (below). I told you they're having a huge amount of success all at once.

They've worked for that success though. They formed in Nashville five years ago. The buzz about the group is absolutely red-hot right now, and deservedly so. We're very excited to have them in Cedar Rapids on the 4th of July along with Eric Paslay, Chuck Wicks, Logan Mize, and Natalie Stovall and the Drive. This definitely could be one of those "I saw them when" moments, so be sure to get your tickets for the KHAK-Thomas Dostal Developers Freedom Festival Concert today.

You can hear the group's new single below and listen for it on KHAK as well.
