A fire at this McDonald's, located at the corner of Edgewood Road and Highway 100, was called into the Cedar Rapids Fire Department right around midnight the morning of Thursday, February 19th. Now, two weeks later they're clearly moving quickly on getting the restaurant re-opened.

Last weekend, a sign in the window read, "DANGER Ozone Deodorizing in Process Do NOT Enter." That same sign noted that re-entry into the building would be Monday morning, March 2nd. A building permit noted that some ceiling would be replaced, along with a menu board and other items, but that no exterior work would be done.

A variety of contractors were on the scene Wednesday morning when we stopped by, assuring that McDonald's fans in northeast Cedar Rapids should have their taste buds happy again soon.
