Thousands of police officers from all over the United States traveled to Dallas this week to pay their respects to the officers killed in Dallas on July 7th.

The "deadliest single incident for U.S. law enforcement since September 11, 2001" occurred last week in Dallas, with five police officers killed and seven others injured. Five officers from our very own Cedar Rapids Police Department traveled down to Dallas this week to honor those fallen officers and their families, and they weren't alone. According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department Facebook page, the officers attended two funerals on July 13th, and said "there were at least 5,000 uniformed officers at each funeral." They will be attending more funerals today. Here are some pictures from their visit:

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cedar Rapids PD and their families, as well as with the Dallas PD. Safe travels!
