Cedar Rapids Movie Theatre Adds New Dining and Luxury Seats

It didn't take the Marcus Theatre people long to improve the moviegoing experience in Cedar Rapids.

After acquiring the Wehrenberg Theatre on Council St. NE in 2017, the improvements began.

First came the luxury recliners know as DreamLoungers. Next, it was heated seats and jumbo screens.

Now the movie theatre has added casual dining and thin crust pizza to the menu of food choices that are prepared and made to be enjoyed inside the theatre.

According to the Gazette, "the new dining options include Marcus Theatres’ Take Five Lounge, which serves casual dining fare and drinks, and Zaffiro’s Express, which serves thin-crust pizza."

It sounds delicious and combines two great ideas under one roof. Thanks to Marcus Theatre, now a dinner and movie can be enjoyed together...at the same time! 

For the cheapskate in the crowd, they also have a $5 ticket special on Tuesdays which is a great price for a first run movie.
