Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market Celebrates 10th Year with Something New

The Downtown Farmers Market in Cedar Rapids is celebrating it's 10th year this summer. And for the first time, one of the markets will be held at night. The August 29th Farmers Market will be held at night, with the other 8 markets held during normal daylight hours. The night market will feature the same vendors, but will place more of an emphasis on live entertainment.

The location of the market will also be different this year due to construction on some downtown streets. The main stage will be at 3rd street at 1st avenue. The market will run from 3rd street to 5th avenue, and will extend one block on either side of 3rd street at 2nd avenue, 3rd avenue and 4th avenue. Over 200 vendors are expected to take part in this years downtown markets.
