It was a very good day for the power couple of singer Carrie Underwood and her hockey-playing-husband Mike Fisher. Mike signed a two-year contract extension with the Nashville Predators and hinted that 2017 may be the end of his career.

The two-year deal that Mike signed earlier this week was announced today. It will pay him $4.8 million for next season and $4.0 million during the 2016-17 season with the Nashville franchise he was traded to four years ago. It includes a full no-trade clause, no doubt important to the NHL center and his wife, who are based in Music City.

When discussing the extension, Fisher said, "I think it's just a good fit. I don't want to look too far down the road. I'm not 21 anymore. We'll see what happens. I want to win in the next two years. That's kind of my goal. That's what I want to help this team to do, and we'll see after that."

Who knows, the future plans of both Mike and Carrie may depend on their growing family. Carrie has already announced they want to have at least one more child. I know I'm being greedy, but I hope no matter how large Carrie's family gets she never leaves country music. We'd miss her and I'm sure  you would too.
