Carrie is on the cover of the new issue of People that arrives on newsstands on Friday, and talks about everything from motherhood to something on her upcoming album she's never done before, and why her favorite word is often, "Ok."

Carrie Underwood gave birth to her first child Isaiah, via C-section, seven months ago and it changed her world. She told People she never thought, ‘I want kids so bad.’ However she now wonders, 'What did I do before?’ Carrie also says, “You feel guilty about every single thing, every decision you make, everything you do.” There's no doubt a career that takes you away from home often has to make it all the more difficult.

Carrie's latest album, Storyteller, is released next Friday, October 23 and will be different. She tells People, the album will feature a tribute to her son, a song about wanting to live up to the view her dad has of her, and for the first time in her career, "bona fide" love songs.

Despite a career that puts her on stage and television in front of thousands or millions of people, Carrie confides in People, "I still get totally nervous in group situations... I can be super awkward, and I will say the wrong thing. My favorite word is 'okay.' If somebody says something to me that I don't know how to respond to, or if I'm in a weird situation where I'm just uncomfortable and there's a lot of people, even if somebody is being super sweet and cool, I'm like 'Okay.' I don't always know what to say."

Three weeks from tonight, Carrie and Brad Paisley will be hosting the CMA Awards for the eighth consecutive year. She'll be fantastic, as always, but no doubt nervous and feeling awkward. It takes guts to admit it... another of the reasons I love Carrie Underwood so much.
