The Dollar Tree located off of Wiley Blvd on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids, is in need of some major repair after a car crashed through its front doors. KCRG-TV9 reports that the incident happened sometime around 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. A woman driving a sedan with another woman in the passenger seat either "got distracted or her foot slipped and hit the accelerator", which caused the vehicle to drive into the storefront. According to the report, law enforcement estimate around $10,000 worth of damage was done! Yikes.

Luckily, everyone is ok! No one in the store at the time was injured, nor was the driver or passenger. The "police cited the driver for failing to provide insurance, not having a valid Iowa driver’s license and for reckless driving." Be careful out there, Iowa!
