Brooks & Dunn will be honored at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards with the Nash Icon Award Presented by Ford F-Series. The awards show, which airs live on Fox from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., will also include a performance from the legendary duo.

Reba McEntire, who received the 2014 Nash Icon Award, will present the award to Brooks & Dunn. According to a press release, the Nash Icon Award is given to "an artist whose extraordinary talent has influenced generations of musicians and honors the accomplishments and artistry of the recipient."

“Brooks & Dunn have indelibly etched their legacy as the biggest-selling duo in country music history,” says ACCA Executive Producer Mark Bracco in a press release. “Their outstanding career achievements have influenced legions of artists and fans alike, and we’re proud to recognize their tremendous success and ongoing musical impact with this well-deserved award.”

The show will air live from Los Angeles on May 1, which marks the first time a country awards show has done so in over a decade. The ceremony will honor country’s biggest stars based on album sales and radio airplay.

The ACCAs honor America’s longest-running country radio show, now titled American Country Countdown With Kix Brooks, which has been on the air for 43 years. Brooks took over hosting duties in 2006, succeeding Bob Kingsley, who took over for original host Don Bowman.
