Brett Eldredge has had three number one songs from his debut album, "Bring You Back." His sophomore release will be named after the state he grew up in.

Eldredge topped the country charts with his hits "Don't Ya," "Beat of the Music," and "Mean to Me." from his first album and the debut single from his second album ("Lose My Mind") is already in country music's Top 30. After performing the song Monday night on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (below), Brett announced his new album will be uniquely titled. Eldredge, who grew up in Paris, Illinois will call the new album simply, "Illinois." It's release date is also unusual. Typically albums are released on Tuesday, but Eldredge's will come out on Friday, September 11th.

I love what Eldredge is doing with his music and paying homage to his home state is honorable. I'm just glad he isn't calling it, "Fighting Illini." That would be too much for this Hawkeye fan to handle.
