Brain’s Son Has The ‘Lucky’ Gene

Growing up, I was never the 'lucky' one. For example, occasionally my parents would buy my brother Adam and I some lottery scratch tickets for Christmas. They would let us choose which ones we would each scratch off. My brother somehow picked the winners every time. While I would be scratching off two non-winners, my brother would we holding up a ten or twenty dollar winner!  It appears the 'lucky' gene that skipped me has found my son Chase.

While waiting for a movie this past weekend, the kids spotted one of those claw games. You know the one that promises cool prizes if you can just grab it with the claw. Yeah, right. I gave all three kids a dollar for their one play, and wouldn't you know it, 'lucky' Chase was the only one that came away a winner. He carried around his Darth Vader toy like a trophy the rest of the day! So would I....if only I were that lucky.
