I'd like to deliver a special message to fast food restaurants out there. First of all, I love your food. Is it good for me? Heavens no. But I know that. I'm an educated consumer who knows that if I eat a triple cheese burger everyday of my life, well, my life won't last that long! But here's the thing. Stop trying to fool people with your "healthy" options. They aren't necessary.

When I stop by a fast food place, its because I have a craving. A craving for something that isn't good for me. So when I pull up to the drive thru, healthy options aren't going to work on me. And they aren't going to work on the majority of Americans either. Offering kale on my hamburger isn't going to make me come to your restaurant. It's going to make me order it without the kale. The one area I agree with healthy options, are kids menus. Thanks for not trying to make my kids fat overnight. They don't know yet why dad loves fast food like he does yet, so letting them think there are healthy options is ok. I won't tell...(wink, wink).

So, you keep putting out the grease and fat, and I'll keep stopping in from time to time. But remember, that's why I'm there. Not because you've got some new salad, or a new veggie burger. Just salt my fries and I'll go home happy.

Thanks!
