Brain’s Choice For Song Of The Year Doesn’t Make Rolling Stone Poll! [VIDEO]
I don't take part in many polls, but when I saw Rolling Stone asking what people what their favorite country song of 2014 was, I couldn't resist. Hey, I play them for a living! So I voted, and when the results came out....my song choice wasn't even in the top 10! I was outraged! I called Rolling Stone and asked for a complete retraction of their article! Ok, I didn't call them, and in their defense, the list is still very strong. Here are the Rolling Stone poll results.
- Carrie Underwood "Something In The Water"
- Keith Urban "Somewhere In My Car"
- Chris Young "Lonely Eyes"
- Eric Church "Give Me Back My Hometown"
- Miranda Lambert "Automatic"
- Eric Church "Talladega"
- Luke Bryan "Play It Again"
- Sturgill Simpson "Living The Dream"
- Dierks Bentley "I Hold On"
- Luke Bryan "Roller Coaster"
Those are all great songs. But I didn't vote for a single one of them as my favorite country song of 2014. What was mine? Leave The Night On by Sam Hunt. I loved it the first time I heard it! It went on to become a number one hit, and my favorite country song of the year! What was YOUR favorite?
