Brain tries a new Deep Fried Food

Fair season is here. I hit the Linn County Fair in Central City on Saturday afternoon. I eventually made my way to the countless food vendors to sample some fine fair food cuisine. There were corn dogs, nachos, chicken on a stick and countless other foods to try. But I settled on something I'd heard about recently and I wanted to try. The Deep Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich.

Just like all the other deep fried foods I've tried, this peanut butter and jelly sandwich was dipped in batter and then fried and covered with powdered sugar. I compare it to the best jelly filled donut you've ever had...but with peanut butter! I've had deep fried twinkies, candy bars and Oreos. But the deep fried PB&J is an all time favorite! Try one at a fair or festival near you!
