Happy National Running Day. How will you be celebrating? Did you get a jog in this morning? Are you going for a run after dinner tonight? Yeah, me either. I've been trying to get into the habit of going for a short run but just can't bring myself to do it. And with my first 5k coming up in just a couple weeks, I need to hit the pavement soon!

For those who DO run, I'm jealous. It takes amazing discipline to keep up your routine. I wish I could do it. And maybe someday I will. A fitness expert online gave some good advice for aspiring runners. Run for 2 to 3 minutes to start and then walk for 2 or 3 minuts. Keep alternating until eventually you don't need to walk anymore. That sounds doable, even for a rookie runner like me. Maybe today will be the day I start running. Maybe.
