Brain is Addicted to New Social Media Platform

The fastest growing social media platform in the world today? Not Facebook. Not Instagram or Snapchat. It's Periscope. It's an app that allows you to do a live broadcast from wherever you are no matter what you're doing. Just download the app, and start live streaming. You can also view other people's broadcasts from around the world. It's this part that has me hooked!

Periscope uses your Twitter information, so you'll need an account to have a Periscope account. After that it's simple. You can view a map of the world and see who is streaming what and where. I've watched fireworks in London. A commuter in Sydney. And yes, I've watched streams from the U.S. and even here in Iowa. I watched a band rehearse in Davenport. I even looked in on a couple driving home in Cedar Rapids. It's fascinating. You can chat with the person you're watching and discuss what you and they see.

I've only done a few broadcasts myself, mostly just boring stuff like me sitting on my porch. Although I did engage in a nice conversation with a guy from England.
