Being a chaperone on a student trip is a lot of fun. I've got on field trips with my kids several times and for the most part, had a great time. Yesterday, I got to help haul my daughter's Girl Scout troop for some fun at Air FX trampoline park.

The car ride was the most interesting part of the trip. Me and five girls piled in our mini van. There was singing, laughing and everything you'd expect from a group of girls. But then, they turned on me. We drove by something outside that smelled funny. I'm not sure what it was. But one of the girls in the van blamed me. "You farted!" they yelled. Laughter erupted even as I calmly told them it wasn't me. It didn't matter. I was a farter.

I thought the joke would end once we reached our destination. I was wrong. We entered Air FX and the girls began telling their fellow Girl Scouts about how I farted in the van. I found myself on the defense with a group of 6 and 7-year-old girls! Finally, when their jump time began, they forgot about the joke and had fun.

Kids will be kids! I had a blast watching this great group of girls have fun jumping and playing on the trampolines! I'm not sure they're going to make me an honorary Girl Scout, but I can always dream.
