All through school, I was known as a drummer. In junior high, high school and college, playing drums was my life.  I was good at it, and I loved to play. I can remember the first time I saw a commercial for the musical Stomp. I was blown away. Here were a group of percussionists using everyday objects to play and jam on. I was convinced it was my calling. Obviously life took me in a different direction. But my radio life met up with my childhood dream as Stomp hit the Paramount Theater in Cedar Rapids. Some of the performers came up to the studios for a visit and attempted to teach Courtlin and I the basics of performing in Stomp.
