Brad Paisley Has Another Chart-Topping Country Album With ‘Love and War’

Brad Paisley is celebrating his ninth consecutive No. 1 album following the release of Love and War. The album — his eleventh — debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart.

Released on April 21, Paisley co-produced the 15-track album with longtime producer Luke Wooten. Additionally, R&B producer and rapper Timbaland assisted on the production of two tracks, “Grey Goose Chase” and “Solar Power Girl.” John Carter Cash also co-produced “Gold All Over the Ground” with Wooten, while Kendal Marcy played executive prodcer.

Paisley was, of course, at the helm of both the audio and visual versions of the album. The singer spearheaded the production of videos for each of the album’s songs, but he had some help from Dave Brown, Derek Cressman, Frank Agnone, Jeff Venable, Jim Shea and Todd Cassetty.

In an interview with Taste of Country, Paisley shared some insight into the visual version of the release — like that it was David Hasselhoff’s idea to make a cameo in “Last Time for Everything.” Shot in a park in Los Angeles, once the Knight Rider actor learned that Paisley’s team was using KITT (the talking car from the 1980s action series), Hasselhoff wanted to assist.

“He reminds me of Shatner,” Paisley says, speaking of actor and frequent collaborator William Shatner. “They’re cut from the same cloth, that sort of, ‘That sounds fun, I’ll do it’ kinda thinking.”
