Bobby’s Weekend Racing Wrap-Up

Oh so close. Saturday night was our 3rd official night of racing this year and we were hoping for a couple of Top five finishes.

We accomplished that and were close to scoring a victory Saturday Night. Congratulations to Tyler Droste as he had the stronger car and drove a great race. We ended up finishing 2nd place. It was Mid-Season Championships at the Independence Motor Speedway and they gave out great trophies for the top three in all divisions. Saturday was also my birthday and I'd like to thank everyone for stopping by after the races and wishing me a happy birthday. A bunch of loyal KHAK listeners stopped by... I even had Track Announcer Jim Roper singing to me when I was signing in for the night. If you didn't make it to the races, you can see the video of the race below. It captures the excitement of local dirt racing... but it's something that you really need to be there to really feel the speed and excitement.

Sunday night we made our way to the Dubuque Speedway and won our qualifying heat race. The feature was a different story. We finished 3rd which was still a great run... just didn't have the car set-up as good as the night before. We'll keep plugging away and hope to see you at the track soon. Please stop by and say hi.
