It was a busy, and frustrating week of racing.

We'll start off with the IMCA Deery Brothers race at Dubuque last Tuesday. Started 19th, finished 12th.. that was the highlight for me. The track was great. It was smooth top to bottom and very slippery. I just couldn't get the car hooked up on the slippery track. It was back to the drawing board for us.

Saturday night, we traveled up to Independence. I changed a few things on the car to make it hook up better and it seemed to help some. Started off the feature 3rd row inside and was able to get into the top five right away. However, after about eight laps the car started acting funny and by the end of the feature we had dropped back to 9th place and the left front tire didn't want to stay on the ground. After loading the car, we noticed the right rear tire was very low on air and almost flat. I have never been so happy to have a flat right rear tire in my life!!! That explains why the car went away, we had a slow-leaking tire.

We regrouped and changed a few things for double features at Dubuque on Sunday night. I got 2nd in my qualifying heat and got into 2nd for the first feature before dropping back to 6th at the end. The 2nd feature we started 8th and got banged back to about 17th before moving forward to 12th for our finish. Minimum repair work to the car this week.

This weekend we will be back to Dubuque on Sunday for double features. It's the last Sunday of racing at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway... hope to see you there.
