We keep telling you about our "Sun of A Beach" party July 26th at "Bobbers" in North Liberty, and you might have a couple questions, specifically what is "Bobbers", where is it, and how do I get there?  Good thing you found this article.

What is Bobbers?

"Bobbers Grill" is the bar/restaurant at Scales Pointe in North Liberty.  And if you haven't heard of Scales Pointe, it's a camp ground, boat launch, and Marina just off Coralville Lake, complete with sand volleyball courts and live music.  In other words, a perfect atmosphere for a Beach Party!

Where is Bobbers?

Bobbers/Scales Point in on the North end of Coralville Lake.   In fact, it's right across the lake from Lake McBride State Park.  From I-380, take exit 4 and head East into North Liberty on W. Penn St.  Turn left at IA-965 and continue North.  In about a half mile, turn right at Scales Bend Rd. NE and continue to it's end, and you're there.

What can I do at Bobbers?

The easy answer is eat, drink at the full service bar, and enjoy live bands.  However, there's also sand volleyball courts, horseshoes, a boat launch, marina, and camp ground with your basic camp supplies store, as well as a walk-in cooler for your beverage needs.
