We keep telling you about our "Sun of A Beach" party July 26th at "Bobbers" in North Liberty, and you might have a couple questions, specifically what is "Bobbers", where is it, and how do I get there? Good thing you found this article.
What is Bobbers?
"Bobbers Grill" is the bar/restaurant at Scales Pointe in North Liberty. And if you haven't heard of Scales Pointe, it's a camp ground, boat launch, and Marina just off Coralville Lake, complete with sand volleyball courts and live music. In other words, a perfect atmosphere for a Beach Party!
Where is Bobbers?
Bobbers/Scales Point in on the North end of Coralville Lake. In fact, it's right across the lake from Lake McBride State Park. From I-380, take exit 4 and head East into North Liberty on W. Penn St. Turn left at IA-965 and continue North. In about a half mile, turn right at Scales Bend Rd. NE and continue to it's end, and you're there.
What can I do at Bobbers?
The easy answer is eat, drink at the full service bar, and enjoy live bands. However, there's also sand volleyball courts, horseshoes, a boat launch, marina, and camp ground with your basic camp supplies store, as well as a walk-in cooler for your beverage needs.
