Blake Shelton recently celebrated his fifth anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and he took to the stage to perform his hit single, "Sangria."

The country star and television personality released "Sangria" as the third radio single from his ninth studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine, and it reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in July of 2015. The song is his 20th No. 1 hit, and it also appears on his recently-released hits collection, Reloaded. He performed it as part of his fifth anniversary celebration on Sept. 22, and the sexy song was part of a familiar running theme that night for Shelton, who has never made any secret of his fondness for a good strong drink.

“Standing here, I can’t believe that I’ve been a member of this thing for freakin’ five years. When they inducted me, I didn’t think I’d live five more years, man,” Shelton quipped. “So I’m shocked. I think we should do something special tonight …”

As part of Shelton's celebration, Opry Vice President and General Manager Pete Fischer surprised the singer onstage in front of the fans with a mini version of the bronze plaque celebrating the Opry's 90th anniversary, then reached into his bag to give him his real gift.

“Seeing as how you’ve been so opposed to the no alcohol policy backstage,” Fisher said, “we were thinking, when you were excited about the fifth, you were thinking about another type of fifth. So we are presenting you with your own version — not available in stores, now or ever — Blake Shelton’s Old No. 5 Grand Ole Opry Anniversary Whiskey.”

The bottle came with one additional gift — a one-night suspension of the Opry's ban on alcohol.

Take a look at Shelton performing "Sangria" on that special night in the clip above, which is debuting exclusively at Taste of Country. Shelton is also set to headline at the 2016 Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo., in June.
