As we all know, the Fall colors are upon us. But there is another prominent color during the month of October. That color is pink. Why pink? It's because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. One in eight women in the United Stated will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

Most doctors will tell you the best chance of survival remains in early detection. Women who have a family history of breast cancer should be screened more often.

We were fortunate enough to be able to follow Jennifer Taylor, a friend of the stations here at Townsquare Media, into her mammogram session. We brought along our video crew to show you how fast and easy it is to get checked.

I want to thank Radiology Consultants of Iowa for allowing us to videotape the exam. Check out the clip, and make sure to get checked!
