I'll admit it. I post a lot of pictures of my kids on social media. Let's face it, they are the focus of my life right now. I post pictures of sporting events, school functions, funny moments at home. But do I post 195 of them a year? Um, no.

A new survey found that the average parent posts 973 pictures of their child online before they even turn 5! That breaks down to 195 a year, or one every other day! The most popular place is Facebook, followed by Instagram and Twitter. Like I said, I'm guilty of putting up lots of kids pictures. But that's not all I post on my social media sites. Let's face it. Some people enjoy seeing what my kids are up to, and others of you really could care less. I get it. I feel the same way sometimes when my news feed is overwhelmed with kiddie pics.

Something else parents need to be aware of is privacy settings. You need to know who can access those pictures of your children. 46% say they've only checked privacy settings once, and 17% admit they've never even looked into it! Post away, but remember when it's 'public', anyone can view it.
