Barrett Baber to Open for Rascal Flatts’ Vegas Residency

Barrett Baber, a member of Blake Shelton’s team and Top 4 finalist on Season 9 of The Voice, has been chosen by Rascal Flatts to be their opening act during their upcoming residency in Las Vegas, titled Rascal Flatts Rhythm & Roots.

The band and Baber will perform nine shows at the Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, beginning Feb. 17 and running through March 5.

"Rascal Flatts is one of country music's most legendary groups, and I'm both humbled and honored to have the opportunity to share a stage with such an iconic band in such an iconic city at an amazing venue like the Joint,” says Baber in a press release. “I'm certain that these shows will leave people saying only one thing: wow!"

Baber impressed audiences throughout his tenure on The Voice with passionate covers of some of country’s biggest songs, including an emotional performance of Lee Brice’s “I Drive Your Truck,” a unique funky twist on country classic “Delta Dawn,” and even transforming a pop tune, “Ghost,” into a country-rock anthem. The artist’s powerful vocals and honest performances earned him a slot in the Top 4 finalists, representing Team Blake.

This will be Rascal Flatts’ second residency in Vegas, the first of which ran around the same time in 2015. They recently wrapped their Riot tour and contributed a new version of Disney’s “Let it Go” alongside country newcomer Lucy Hale for the We Love Disney project, which features popular artists covering an array of Disney tunes.
