Ryan ("Brain") is originally from Anamosa, but now resides in Marion.
Ryan enjoys playing basketball, softball, baseball and golf and other outdoor activities like biking, hiking, fishing and canoeing.
Ryan and Holly (his wife) have a boy named Chase (born in 2004).
Ryan has been at KHAK since age 19, and has done news, overnights, traffic, evenings, and now mornings.
Ryan says the best part about his job, is music, and getting to talk with great, loyal listeners everyday!

Scott Steele immigrated from the "Land of Lincoln" (aka Illinois) to Iowa in 1997. After doing time in radio in Waterloo from 1997-2004, he moved to KHAK's sister station KRNA and was morning co-host there until January 2007. He joined forces with Brain on January 15, 2007 and the rest, as they say, is history.
When not working, Steele likes to pretend he is good at golf. He also passes the time listening to music, watching his favorite sports teams (Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox), playing fantasy sports and Texas Hold Em poker, and mowing the lawn - something he became obsessed with after he and his wife bought their first home in 2006.
Speaking of his wife, Steele and his MUCH better half, Misty have been married since October 29, 2005. They live in Cedar Rapids and absolutely LOVE calling Eastern Iowa home.
With this being his first foray into country radio, Steele is still getting comfortable with the format. Some of his country music favorites so far include Keith Urban, Josh Turner, and the Wreckers. One other thing that has impressed him so far is the enthusiatic response he's gotten from KHAK listeners. "They've already made me feel like a member of the family!"
