Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell Have a Dad-Filled Christmas in ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ Trailer

‘Kidnap’ Is the Dumbest Movie of the Summer, But Oh God It’s Fun

There are bad movies. Then there are bad movies where Halle Berry screams and recites monologues inside a minivan for an hour and a half. In Kidnap, Berry plays Karla, a working class single mother whose son gets, you guessed it, kidnapped – but the title of this movie is in the present tense, because Karla sure as hell won’t let this kidnap(ping) become a thing of the past. Saban’s Power Rangers takes the latter route, updating the ‘90s series as an edgier, darker origin story with shards of silliness. The problem is, Power Rangers is never quite sure if it wants to distance itself from the source material or embrace it.
