Kinnick Stadium is well into its transformation for Saturday's big concert. Here's some photos of the change it's undergoing and answers to your questions about the big day.

The floor of Kinnick Stadium has changed quite a bit over the last couple days. First, Monday afternoon.

By Tuesday afternoon, the building of the stage was underway!

More progress as of Wednesday afternoon, when I visited Iowa City:

Now that I've whetted your appetite for the weekend, even more, let's answer some questions.

  • What time do parking lots open for the concert?

Parking lots open at 10 a.m. You will not have access before that time.

Parking will be limited on University property and can be purchased (cash only) at the parking lot entrances. One car is allowed per parking pass. Lots are parked in an order of arrival basis. Parking spaces cannot be held for an additional vehicle. Lots must be cleared by midnight. Cost is $20 per car and $60 per RV (RV parking in Lot 65 only).

  • Can I tailgate prior to the concert?

Yes, you may tailgate in parking lots BEFORE the show, but NOT after the concert. Please adhere to normal game day rules when tailgating. Those are available HERE.

  • What time do gates open at Kinnick and when do the performances begin?

Gates will open at 1 p.m. at the first performance is at 3 p.m.

  • What can I bring into the concert?

Once again, normal football game day rules apply. No bags (Clear Bag Only), firearms, weapons, or alcohol is allowed. Full policies are available HERE

  • Is stadium re-entry allowed?

No. Once you enter Kinnick Stadium, you cannot leave and re-enter.

  • Will alcohol be sold?

Yes, don't forget your I.D.

  • In what order are the singers?

Hunter Smith Band performs first, followed by David Ray and Morgan Frazier, Tucker Beathard, Big and Rich, Thomas Rhett, and Blake Shelton.

Specific stage times for all performers are available HERE.

98.1 KHAK will be playing music from the artists all day Saturday and immediately after the show, turn us on for a solid 60 minutes of music from Blake, Thomas, Big and Rich, and Tucker Beathard. We're calling it the Kinnick Concert Replay. It will be a night you'll want to relive over and over.

The countdown to one of the largest concert parties Iowa has ever seen continues. Are YOU ready?!
