Maddie Poppe of Clarksville, Iowa is vying to be the 'American Idol' for 2018 Sunday night on ABC and here's everything you need to know, including a voting change for the finale.

Sunday night's episode, known as the "Performance Finals," airs on ABC from 7 to 9 central time. It will feature guest performances from Bebe RexhaYolanda AdamsDarius Rucker, Gary Clark Jr., Nick Jonas and Mustard, and Patti LaBelle, along with a special appearance by Kermit the Frog. All three judges (Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie) will also perform. You'll also see all 10 finalists hit the stage during the two-hour episode. One of the coolest moments should be when ABC shows footage of the hometown visits of finalists Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Gabby Barrett, and of course Maddie Poppe's return to Clarksville and Allison, Iowa.

The 2018 "American Idol Grand Finale" airs Monday night from 8 to 10 central, with the winner announced at the end of the show. Now, determining that winner (hopefully Maddie Poppe!) will be handled a little differently this weekend. Voting will still start at the beginning of Sunday night's episode (7 p.m.). However, voting will stay open throughout the night. Voting will end at 8 a.m. central on Monday.

It's pretty clear that support for Maddie Poppe is VERY strong here in Iowa. After seeing billboards (photo below) for her in Cedar Rapids, I made a call to MediaQuest Outdoor. My question? Were the electronic billboards for Maddie paid for or did MediaQuest just put them up to support a fellow Iowan? It was the latter. MediaQuest told me they wanted to show their support and that Maddie's dad had even called to say thank you. It's a pretty awesome show of support.

Remember, there are three ways to vote for Maddie, with each person being able to vote a total of 10 times each, via each platform. You can vote via text (that info on the billboard below), online, and the 'American Idol' app.

Get all 30 of those votes in this weekend. Maximize the votes for Maddie and let's help her bring home the 'American Idol' crown! This is big, but it's only the beginning for this talented Iowan.
