The show premiered three days before I was born, so I never had the opportunity to watch it "first run."  However, I - along with a huge amount of us who grew up in the 70's and 80's LOVED watching the re-runs of The Brady Bunch.  I didn't just watch the re-runs, I devoured them daily - all the way through college and even today.  If I see the show on, I will stop and watch.  I'll recite line for line what they say.  I have touted myself a master of Brady Trivia.  I've even had the opportunity to meet Barry Williams (Greg Brady) twice.

When my wife told me last night that she had just read that "Alice" (Ann B. Davis) had died, I honestly let out a gasp.  I felt like I lost a very close friend.  Alice was really the one who held together the family.  She didn't just cook and clean for the Bradys.  She helped find lost toys, gave advice, danced, shot baskets, and always seem to have a pot of coffee on for Mike and Carol.  All of that and she still had time to date Sam "The Butcher".  We'll miss you Alice!  You'll forever live on in our hearts and on re-runs!

Here is one of MY favorite Alice moments from the Brady Bunch.

What are yours??
