You could say that Kacey Musgraves had herself a pretty good Sunday night. She went four for four at this year's Grammy Awards, taking home trophies for Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, and Best Country Song. She then capped off the night by winning the all-genre award for Album of the Year. A big night for Kacey and a big night for country music.

How rare a win was it for Musgraves to win the coveted Album of the Year award? It doesn't happen very often for country artists. Taylor Swift's album Fearless, which was made while she was still a country artist, took home the top award in 2010. In 2007 the Dixie Chicks won the trophy for their album Taking the Long Way. Before that, you have to go all the way back to 1969 and Glen Campbell who won for By the Time I Get to Phoenix! That's it. That's the list of country winners for Album of the Year at the Grammys.

If you haven't given Golden Hour a listen yet, you're missing out. I ranked it one of my favorite country albums of 2018. It's a beautiful album and well deserving of all of its awards. Congrats Kacey!
