It's hard to believe we are two weeks away from Christmas with the extremely mild weather we've had so far. Besides the blast of Winter we had around Thanksgiving and the colder temperatures, the weather has turned mild and Thursday's high in Cedar Rapids topped out at 54°.

Normally, Iowa has a 50-75 percent chance of a white Christmas. Now before you get that snowblower all set to go for a major snow storm, an inch of snow on the ground is considered a white Christmas.

According to Accuweather, the lack of cold air will lessen the amount of snow that typically falls in the Midwest and East Coast. The long range forecast is calling for above normal temperatures through the end of the year.

It's not looking good for a white Christmas this year.
