Last week, they became the first country band of at least three members to send their debut single to #1 this decade. Today, the world gets to hear 'A Thousand Horses' entire debut album, "Southernality."

A Thousand Horses, one of five national acts to play our big 4th of July Thomas Dostal Developers Freedom Festival Concert this summer, hit number one on the charts last week with "Smoke." The last group to take their debut single to #1 was Zac Brown Band with "Chicken Fried, seven years ago. That puts 'A Thousand Horses' in select & successful company. "Smoke" was written by lead singer Michael Hobby two days before the group started recording their album. The next day they spent time learning it and recorded it the first day in the studio. Hobby said, "It was our first single and our first number one, which is kind of crazy, especially for an eleventh-hour song."

The second release from the new album is their brand new single "(This Ain't No) Drunk Dial."

Watch for the guys to perform Wednesday (6/10) on the CMT Music Awards and see them in Cedar Rapids on the 4th of July!
