It's impossible to watch A Thousand Horses and not at least think about the classic southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd. Now granted, ATH is only on their second single and Skynyrd is legendary, but the group is trying to fill that southern rock hole in country music. I've said it a thousand times, but one of the many things I love about this genre of music is all the diversity. Bluegrass, traditional, bro country, pop country, there is something for everyone. A Thousand Horses looks like they may have what it takes to be that rocking group that stays around for awhile.

I'm not the only one drawing the Skynyrd comparison. Rolling Stone also makes the case for A Thousand Horses claiming the southern rock mantel. The group released their album Southernality this week and their 2nd single 'This Ain't No Drunk Dial' is climbing the charts. No matter how you view them, this is one group who is here to stay.
