I'd be willing to bet that most people get excited when their favorite NFL team plays a game on a Sunday or Monday night.National audience...the big spotlight...the only game on.  Well, not this guy.  Last night my beloved Chicago Bears took on the San Francisco 49ers as the "Sunday Night Game Of The Week."  When I stay up late to watch the Bears one of two things happens. 1) They win and I have a hard time going to sleep.  2) They lose and I have a hard time going to sleep.  Either way....as you can tell by the look on my face in the picture, sleep was tough last night.

Meanwhile, here's just an small look inside my mind and what I was thinking during the game.

7:00pm - STILL the "pre-game?"  Why can't they start these at the top of the hour?

7:20pm - FINALLY we get started.  Wait not yet?  What the...oh wait...Carrie Underwood.

7:27pm - NOW kickoff.  Bears get the ball.  Bears fumble. 7-0 San Francisco.  Should I really stay up for this?

7:40pm - Bears offense looks anemic.  It's the grand opening of the new 49ers stadium.  Remind me again why I am watching this.

8:01pm - Chilli - asleep.  Misty - asleep.  Scott - aggravated.

8:34pm - Halftime and the Bears down by 10.  I should really get some sleep.  3am comes way too early.  Maybe they'll show that Icky Woods Geico commercial again.  That thing cracks me up.

9:16pm - 49ers tack on 3 more pts.  I bet if I take my glasses off and just listen I'll fall asleep.  I'll miss the disappointment of a loss and get some solid Zzzzz's.

9:17pm - That didn't work.

9:34pm - TD Bears.  Only down by six.  I pump my fist (silently).  This is not an easy task while in laying in bed.

9:45pm - INT by the Bears and in great field possession.  More silent fist pumping.

9:46pm - Is it just me, or do Colin Kapernick's eyes seem really close together.  It's probably fatigue on my part.

9:57pm - TD Bears.  And we are up by 1 with a few minutes....wait...another INT by the Bears.  I am now flopping around on the bed like a fish out of water.  Luckily we have a Sleep Number bed.  As far as my slumbering wife knows, I've been asleep for hours.

10:02pm - TD Bears.  Now up by 8.  I am SO happy I stayed up for this!

10:13pm - Another turnover by SF, Bears ball.  And the kneeling down begins.

10:15pm - Lights off...BUT HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO SLEEP AFTER THAT??

3am - What the *%$&^#@ is that?  Oh...the alarm.  I need a nap
