A Look Back At Some Of The Big Boys Who’ve Appeared At Past Big Boy Toy Shows
The 2015 Big Boy Toy Show is set for Saturday, February 7th at the Doubletree by Hilton Convention Center Complex in downtown Cedar Rapids and that got me to thinking about some of the sports figures we've had at the event in past years. It's an impressive list, and here's just a few of them.
Bryan Bulaga
2010 NFL first-round pick Bryan Bulaga signed autographs as a member of the Green Bay Packers, where he's still a member of the offensive line for one of the favorites to reach the 2015 Super Bowl.
Matt Roth
One of thee toughest guys on the defensive side of the ball for the Hawks, Matt Roth put his signature on paper at the Big Boy Toy Show before beginning an 8-year NFL career with Miami, Cleveland, and Jacksonville.
Robert Gallery
Robert Gallery. He began his freshman season as the starting Tight End and concluded that same season by starting on the offensive line. He would go on to become the third Hawkeye to win the Outland Trophy, given to the nation's top offensive lineman. Robert was the second overall pick in the NFL draft and spent eight seasons in the league. The line to meet Robert was probably the lengthiest in the history of the Big Boy Toy Show, no doubt in part to him growing up in the nearby East Buchanan school district.
