A Cool New Donut Shop is Coming to Cedar Rapids [PHOTOS]

5300 Fountains Drive Northeast in Cedar Rapids is going to be home to an awesome new donut shop next month! According to KCRG, The Donut Experiment, a franchise that began down in Florida, will be opening up in late November.

So what makes this donut shop special? Well, you get to pick your own toppings! The Donut Experiment website states:

"We start with a delicious, fresh-made cake donut and then you pick from our huge selection of icings and toppings. Yours can be as simple as plain or glazed or as crazy as key lime, maple bacon or Sriracha."

Some of the other toppings listed on their website include Fruity Pebbles, peanut butter drizzle, coconut, sea salt, Reese’s Pieces and various candy bars. Check out some of the photos:

Jen Bentley, the franchise owner in Cedar Rapids, hopes to open up the shop before Thanksgiving. We can't wait!
