Tyler Sash’s Mom Talks About Her Son’s Battle With C.T.E. [VIDEO]

Test results released this week showed that former Hawkeye Tyler Sash suffered from an advanced stage of the brain disease known as C.T.E. It is a progressive degenerative disease usually found in people who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries. Sash was found dead in his Oskaloosa home in September of 2015. His mother, Barnetta Sash, and his brother will appear on the ESPN show Outside The Lines today at 12:30 p.m. Iowa time to talk more about C.T.E. In a different interview, Barnetta talked about the decision to donate Tyler's brain for research, and how her son had changed.
