With a new bank robbery reported this morning at the Hills Bank in downtown Cedar Rapids, Police officers need your help to put a stop to this strange occurrence. There have been 3 occurrences this week, although there's no word yet on if these are connected.  Here's what we do know.

This morning at 11:04a, Police were notified of robbery in progress at Hills Bank and Trust at 240 Third Ave SE, and arrived on the scene within two minutes.  Thanks to the help of witnesses, officers engaged in a foot pursuit of a white male, who was apprehended in the lot near Hall Bicycle company.  Jacob Allen Mack, DOB/04-16-1990, age 24, was arrested and charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class C felony, and with Interference With Official Acts for this morning's robbery of Hills Bank and Trust Company at 240 3rd Avenue SE.  He was transported to the Linn County Jail.

On Tuesday, Police were notified of a robbery at the U.S. Bank at 2350 Edgewood SW that occurred early Monday.  It's been determined a male suspect entered the bank, demanded cash, and left on foot, with no weapon displayed and thankfully no one injured.  They've released these photos.

Then on Wednesday, officers responded to an armed robbery at the U.S. Bank at 129 16th Ave SW at 4:31p.  A black male wearing a black hoodie with a black mask over his face entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash.  He was wearing blue jeans and blue gloves, and left on foot.  Thankfully again, no one was injured.  These photos have been released.
