The Cedar Rapids Police Department has announced the arrest of two people for the murder of an 18-year-old Cedar Rapids man.

21-year-old Emily Nicole Young has been charged with 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Robbery, and Conspiracy To Commit a Forcible Felony.

19-year-old Darius Trayvon Alexander has also been charged with 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony.

Alexander was arrested this morning at 375 7th Ave. SW in Cedar Rapids, while Young was arrested this afternoon at the Cedar Rapids Police Station.

The charges all stem from the stabbing death of Christopher Arteberry on September 30, 2016. Arteberry, 18 at the time of his death, lived at 6728 College Park Court Southwest in Cedar Rapids.

Police were called to 6725 College Park Court SW at 2:09 the morning of September 30, 2016 to the report of a man suffering from a stab wound. Arteberry was pronounced dead at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids about an hour later. Police determined he had been stabbed in the parking lot but was found in an apartment (#5) at 6725 College Park Court.

Young and Alexander are both being held at the Linn County Jail.
